The event, which runs until Monday, offers a variety of attractions to audiences.
"This year, the competition will feature 16 radio plays for adults and seven for children," said Adam Wojtyszko, artistic director of the event.
The festival program also includes live performances, including an episode of Polish Radio's iconic Matysiakowie series, the oldest and longest-running radio drama in Poland.
The audience will also have a chance to see how Polish Radio's popular summer program Lato z Radiem is produced, along with some of the public broadcaster's best documentary and reportage productions.
With 2024 designated as the Year of Witold Gombrowicz in Poland, viewers will have the opportunity to watch a dramatic adaptation of the iconic writer's 1937 novel Ferdydurke, directed by Mariusz Malec.
Other attractions include drama workshops and meetings with theater professionals and artists.
The winners of the awards for best radio and television plays of 2024 will be announced at a ceremony on the final day of the festival.
